After so many picnic-experiences I have tried in all the corners of the world where I have been carried along by my colored journeys, I may have reached the perfect formula related to culinary experiences, emotional, visual and sensory stimuli “at the ground level”. Maybe it`s a matter of knowhow, thoroughly practised , but I`m sure that the picnic I had in St. Barths entered straight on top of the list of the most impressive picnics that turned out well during all these years, because I had …paradise as a background.
The picnic in Baie des Flamands was matchless, with unforgettable recollections and one of the full seconds of ultimate beauty.
The ingredients were simple and at hand in St Barths: a beach with silk-like sand,turquoise sparkles all around and …incredible food!
I chose all kinds of goodies and delicacies from a local shop and from the delightful Maya`s to go restaurant, I made some easy-peasy, some slices of bread and butter with foie gras, cheeses, shrimps and quinoa salad (Maya`s brand), fresh vegetables and fruits, I put a good champagne into an ice bucket and for a complete tropical setup, St.Barths didn`t disappoint me and made an unforgettable surprise to me: after succeeding in taking a few pictures, I opened the umbrella and I enjoyed myself with one of the pleasant summer rain!
